Vaccinations and your cat - cat vet in Tampa FL

by Alex Weber, DVM on 10/19/13

Our cat vets in Tampa FL make recommendations for your cats vaccinations based on their lifestyle and habits. The major factor that is considered is whether or not your cat spends unsupervised time outdoors.  For our indoor only cats, our veterinarians recommend Rabies and Feline Distemper vaccinations only.  If any amount of time is spend outdoors, then the Feline Leukemia vaccination is added to your cat's vaccination protocol. It is always advisable to keep your cats indoors as often as possible but if they need to spend some time out in the great outdoors, make sure they are properly vaccinated.

If you have any questions about this, or any other cat / feline topics, contact our cat veterinarians in Tampa at bpac1@verizon.net or 813-289-3926.
